I decided it was time to update my blog with a fresh look. Out with the old, in with the new.
Sad news today: Etta James passed away. "At Last" is one of my very favorite songs.
I am reminded today how precious life is. Someone I follow on twitter lost a friend of theirs rather suddenly. By suddenly, I mean this friend was happily tweeting on January 14th and today they are gone. She was a pretty, young, talented photographer with a fiancee and young son. She was in the middle of planning her wedding and had already booked her honeymoon. She had so much to look forward to and, tragically, her loved ones are now left without her.

My heart sank at hearing about this woman that died in the happiest time of her life. The days keep flying by and with how fragile life is, it is so important that we live life thankful for all that is in it! That quote is on of my faves. <3
ReplyDeleteThis really tugged at my heart also. So very sad but yet an excellent reminder to value each day. That quote is one of my favorites also. I'm sorry not to have an attribution for it but there seems to be some controversy as to who actually said it.
